Gianfranco Scuotri

Gianfranco Scuotri was born in Nuoro on August first, 1986.After graduating high school from the Liceo Scientifico E. Fermi, with his degree in Science, he enrolled in the State Academy of Music Conservatorio Statale di Musica Palestrina in Cagliari, where he received his bachelor’s degree in Music and New Technologies. He wrote an experimental thesis entiteld “Acustica applicata: realizzazione di uno studio di registrazione in ambienti preesistenti –Applied acoustic:construction of a recording studio in existing structuress”. In november of 2011 Gianfranco majored in Audio Restauration at the State Academy of Music in Florence, the Conservatorio Statale Cherubini, receiving his master’s degree with a thesis entitled “Compact cassette: degrado e recupero- Compact cassettes: deterioration and recovery”. He collaborated, and he still does, with some public and private authorities such as the MartLAB (musics and audio, research, recovery, restoration and technologies), the I.S.R.E. (the Sardinia Ethnographic Institute), the I.S.R.T. (Tuscany Historical Institute of Resistance)and as research fellow at the Scuola Normale Superiore in Pisa, where he was a member of the multidisciplinary team for the Gra.Fo project. Recently he collaborated with the integration system magazine Connessioni s.r.l.
